The Iliopsoas includes the Psoas Major and Ilicus muscles.

Psoas Major

Origin: Bodies and bases of transverse processes of L1-L5

Insertion: Lesser trochanter of the femur

Action: Flexes and laterally rotates thigh at hip; flexes vertebral column

Transverse Process L1 -L5

Lesser Trochanter

Ilicus

Origin: Iliac fossa of OS Coxa

Insertion: Lesser trochanter of femur

Action: Flexes and laterally rotates thigh at hip
